AKA Janie, is 20, and a Virgo...uh huh...whatever. I sing at weddings and funerals for $150 a pop! Hell, I'll even do baptisms! So if you know someone getting hatched, matched or dispatched, give me a call!

But first and foremost, I'm a rabid yaoi fan whose soul is far beyond redemption! Three cheers for me!

Listening: Gackt "Moon" Album

Watching: "X" Volume 3, Weiss Kreuz Gluhen

Playing: Nuffin at the moment

In Progress: "Kokuhaku", chapter 4; "Devotion", ch.3; Various Wei?Kreuz fics and pictures

Agenda: Convention Fanart! Send me your suggestions!
I love: Subtitled anime, Japanese rock and pop music, owls, reading sci-fi/fantasy, drawing and writing, abyssinian kittens, playing RPGs on my PS2, orchids, dragons, email roleplaying games, and horseback riding.

I hate: Adult anime imported for children's programming, most network television, small yappy dogs, ridiculous platform shoes, Morning Musume (even though "Koi no Rock" is damn addictive, "Mini Moni" needs to die a thousand deaths), homophobia, and people with no imagination.

Woo!

Hey, listen up! Yes, you! Major changes are going down!

From this day forward, the blog will be used only for major news postings. Because...

*fanfare*

I have a Livejournal!! They're actually much, much easier to post on, and I actually feel like people are reading my Livejournal ^^;;; Because no one ever sends me feedback on my blog or website.......*sniffle*

Anyhow, for those random ramblings and insane musings I just know you've come to love and adore and not start your day without, head over to the Livejournal!

Wednesday, February 5, 2003, 09:26 a.m.:

Ho hum...

Wow...I'm updating from school. I haven't done this, in, like, a year! And, as you can tell...no, I'm not dead. Sorry, all. I know you had your hopes up.

News: I got a dog! A perfectly lovely 5 year-old dalmatian named Reggie. I'd have pictures, but for some reason the image I saved from the Humane Society website doesn't want to upload to my webspace. He's an absolute doll, though...loves to hug and kiss, chews fluffy squeaky toys, and barks like a functional watchdog, unlike the late Cookie, bless her. Unfortunately, he has a nasty habit of jumping on my bed every single chance he gets (translate: Whenever I turn my back for 2.5 seconds). Somebody dropped him off at the shelter on Xmas eve this year...what a way to spend Xmas...I'll bet Santa shat under their tree this year. But we got him, so nyah. Remember, everyone...have your pets spayed or neutered. Or I'll come and stab you for every little unwanted puppy or kitten that ends up in the shelters.

Anyway...

Not much to show on the website, but there is a lot in progress. I'm working on more fics than I can count right now, and I'm sure one of them will be finished sooner or later. Keep checking for updates, folks! I promise there'll be something soon.

Convention season is coming up! Well, not really...Fanime, the first con of the year, is at the end of June this year, which really sucks. It's, like, only a week before Anime Expo. Which makes it a very hectic summer. I'll probably just be revamping my Belial costume for this year, rather than making the Gluhen Aya costume I wanted to. But that's fine with me because Brian's actually gonna cosplay again this year, and I'm going to make his costume for him. Wish me luck, na?

And now, a confession.

I like Weiss Kreuz Gluhen.

[SPOILER WARNING!]

That show...that fucking show...and fucking Koyasu...changing my lovely flowerboys then making me like them anyway. I'll kill the producers one day. After the show is finished. Aya's hair is growing on me...frighteningly enough. Kyo and Sena are making a surprisingly sweet couple in my head. Omi seems to have actually grown some hair on his balls, which is a wonderfully welcome change...It was as I hoped -- the voices really do help preserve the characters. Youji...well, I still hate his hair. With a loathing unmatched by any other. But he's naked in episode 8! Completely butt-naked, I tell you! Naked swimming (well, almost), and naked girl-strangling! Woo! Party time! Naked party time! I'll stop saying naked now...I swear, though, he's come out of the closet completely. Wearing a purple turtleneck with butt-hugging slacks, and posing as a high-school art teacher. He may as well wear a sign on his back with a downward-pointing arrow saying "Insert cock here." Hm......I wonder if I could work that into a fic... *dodges flying wires and rotten fish* And then there's the roof scene with Youji pinned up against the wall by a certain redhead.....

Ken is hot. Very hot. Holy crap, is he hot. And to think he used to be my least favorite character...I swear, this boy is all grows up, and he turned out goooood. And he has 2 bugnuks now ^_^ Hee, bugnuk. That word is still stupid. See, the old Weiss lives on.

I'm not so sure about this whole Schwarz/Crashers business. According to the original Tsuchiya-sensei storyboards for episode 11, Schuldich and Crawford (at least) show up, then the members of Crashers come hang-gliding in out of nowhere. Aren't Crashers supposed to be dead? The idea of them never thrilled me much anyway...if I could get ahold of drama disc translations, though, I might change my mind. If anyone has transcriptions of Knight & Ran, send 'em my way! I'll give you a cookie.

End random blathering, since class is starting soon.

Until later, kittens.

Happy New Year

It's been forever, hasn't it. Where've I been? Around. Why haven't I blogged? Nothing to say, really. I'm trying to cut down on the random venting over personal matters, because I'm more than fairly sure nobody wants to hear about it.

How am I? Well, right now I'm sitting in front of my new fishtank, watching my two silver lyretails (Yue and Yuki) chase my gold gourami (Ayan) away from their spawning rock, while my two bettas (named after the muses) watch, very displeased to be in separate bowls. I'm also eating leftover mushroom linguini from Spago. So yeah, I'm doing alright. I've got pets. I've got Wolfgang Puck fungus pasta. I've got a steady paying job at Pet Food Express. I'm doing just fine.

Of course, school is starting monday, so that could put a considerable damper on things. But we won't worry about that until Sunday night.

Updates abound at the website. Go check it out! Fic, artwork, lots of stuff. You won't be disappointed.

WATER OF WATER. Pretty lady! Fair and gentle, your empathy attracts others to you. Possibly psychic, you are pure emotion and are more likely to act on feeling rather than practical thought or logic. You think that's just fine because imagination is important. You shine when you are able to give emotional support to others.

Like a Bandit

Top Five Birthday Presents This Year!

- From my nakama, a copy of DDR Konamix, and two dance pads! Mmmm, blisters upon blisters ^_^ I still can't do Afronova Primeval, but I'm getting there! It's got the same gameplay format as 4th mix, and a great song selection!

- From Richard, a copy of Kingdom Hearts! The Disney stuff is all well and good, but there's definite slashy eye-candy! Aw, shut up...you knew it would happen. Sora and Riku are ripening nicely, and "Leon"'s pants must be seen to be believed!

- From Brian, a Gameboy Advanced and a copy of one of the two Legend of Zelda games -- The red one. He's got the blue one. Finally, I can stare at a videogame when I'm not in front of the tv...my life is complete!

- From the parents, a $100 gift certificate to University Art. This is the store where all the Stanford University art students buy their supplies...and it has every single brand of every single type of art supply that a person could possibly think of!

Last but not least,

A Wacom Intuos2 Tablet! This thing is absolutely miraculous!! It's entirely pressure-sensitive, with a wireless mouse, and the pen has an eraser tip on the other end! Now I just need to do some line drawings that I can scan and CG ^_^

Addendum

Now, don't get me wrong. I love Seki, but come on! Throw me a bone! At least Miki looks sexy when he's scruffy. And at least Koyasu's bad teeth are interesting. Seki's just look like he's opened too many beer bottles with them.

.....can't think of much to say about Yuuki, but when I do I'll let you know.

So, fine. Seki's a perv, and a smartass, and doesn't know how to comb his hair, and if anyone ever dares to compare me to him again, they're getting punched in the teeth. But, on his own, he's a cuddly snugglebunny (and looks really sexy in purple)

Monday, September 16, 2002, 10:35 p.m.:

Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored!

Woo! Been a while, hasn't it? Hopefully I can get you all caught up on the amazing and wonderful things that have been happening to me.

Did I say "amazing and wonderful"? I meant "vaguely interesting, but mostly mundane". Oh well.

I'm taking a trip back in time and playing "Suikoden". The only reason I started it was because I wanted to play the new "Gensosuikoden III" coming out for PS2 in November, and I didn't want to be in the dark in case it was a direct sequel. I was pleased to discover that Suikoden is an entirely entertaining game, with a lot of lovely character relationships, and not a little angst! In fact, some of the storyline gets pretty depressing......However, I invite any like-minded ficwriters/fanartists to join me in the project of slashing Suikoden!

My birthday is in two days! I've already snooped around for my presents...but my mom one-upped me this year -- She wrapped them ahead of time. We did my birthday-fun-thing today, though...Richard, Brian, and I went horseback riding. Up until this past year I'd been an avid rider, but today was my first time on a horse in many moons...I will be veeeeeeery sore tomorrow. It was a blast, though. I always seem to have good luck with trail-ride-rental horses, and Brownie today was absolutely wonderful ^_^
We went riding today, because we're going out to dinner on Wednesday, and I really didn't want to have to come home from the stable only to have to shower, dress nicely and go out again.

Tomorrow's going to be interesting. Brian and I start taking kendo lessons at the Mountain View Kendo Dojo. Now, before you laugh at me, be assured that I've already been laughed at by my entire family, so you needn't waste your breath. I think it'll be a lot of fun once we get over the awkwardness of being the "new members" of the class. That, and the fact that we haven't yet gotten our proper uniform. I know it's best to wait and see if we like kendo before buying all the clothes, but I can't help but feel like I'll be out of place, swinging a shinai in sweatpants and a t-shirt while everybody else is in a gi and hakama.

Oh well. We shall see, ne?

Other than that, I think everything else is generally boring ^_^;;; The fic effort continues, as always, but most of my attention is going to my Yaoicon art show entries! Wish me luck!

Friday, August 30, 2002, 02:08 p.m.:

19 days!

Mhmm, less than 3 weeks until my birthday! And now that my mom and sister ARE going to Italy after all, it looks like it just might be a pleasant day!

On a related topic, I finally finished making out my birthday list:

1. Kendo equimpent! I'm gonna buy my own shinai and bokuto, but the keikogi and hakama are, like, $40 each...*sigh* And I'm not even thinking about the bogu. Maybe for Christmas.

2. "Gohatto" on DVD (*leer* The Shinsengumi the way we love them...gay, gay, gay!)

3. "Gen-X Cops" on DVD (And maybe Gen-X Cops 2?)

4. A cattleya orchid to replace my red one that died...my green one is lonely!

5. Kingdom Hearts!!!

6. New art supplies...nnnn, my kingdom for a decent sketchbook.

Not a long list. But if I get even one of these things I'll be lucky. It'll most likely just be a pile of sweaters. Every year, it's sweaters...I hardly have any summer clothes.

Ah well. Here's hoping!

Tuesday, August 20, 2002, 10:54 p.m.:

I was going to go to Italy in September. And then I changed my mind.

Instead, I got myself psyched for the two weeks spent without mother or sister in the house while they went to Rome...Two weeks in which I could relax, watch all the smutty anime I wanted, work on my Yaoicon costume, and draw without fear of being seen by my homophobic mother.

Now they're not going. They're not f***ing going. Because my sister was sooooo certain she could get a better airfare, she didn't book the cheapest one there was.

God damn it, I'm pissed.

In other news, my dad's in the doghouse for ordering our driveway repaved without checking with my mom first. It's amusing to watch them yell at each other.

Saturday, August 17, 2002, 05:29 p.m.:

A dark day.

Disclaimer: This is NOT simply an emotional rant...well, it is, but not the kind that I'll change my mind about after I stop yelling and relax and take an "objective look" at it. This is me, mourning the death of the only anime I've ever stuck with for more than a year.

Chalcedony Cross's Livejournal provided me with some interesting information today.

Behold.

Words cannot truly describe my absolute, utter horror and loathing for the pictures displayed on that link. The only comforting thing about it is that, despite his horrible hack-job of a hairstyle, Youji's face is still the same. His mouth is still as wide and accomodating as ever. Not that I'd want that "Aya" coming anywhere near Youji's mouth. They've succeeded in destroying any trace of masculinity Aya's new character design could have ever had. I'd gladly take Tsuchiya-sensei's "Aya with ponytail" over....over that thing.

Furthermore, any poinging the muses ever had over Ken's new hairstyle is destroyed by the utter ludicrousness (yes, that IS a word, I looked it up) of his outfit. He looks like a figure skater.

Omi looks like a reject villain from a James Bond movie. "The Little Neo-Nazi that Could".....ech...

As I said before, Aya's hair is repugnant to me. Utterly disgusting. The muses are currently cowering in fear in the attic, and Ryu is attempting (unsuccessfully) to convince Mizuiro it was just a hallucination. I have nothing more to say about Aya. Just....yuck. Absolutely yuck.

And Youji. My love. My sweet, little, prettyboy skirt-chaser. He's ruined. He's utterly ruined. The only thing that might possibly redeem him is this angst-driven insanity that Chalcedony Cross seems to have heard about. And since I can't translate Japanese, I probably will never know.

I can't believe I'm saying this...I can't believe I'm actually losing this much faith in Koyasu and company. But it will take more than a miracle to convince me that this is NOT the death of Weiß.

Wednesday, August 14, 2002, 08:40 p.m.:

34 Days

Nnnn....my birthday's coming up, and I'm not even going to be here for it. Of course, I'm going to be in Rome for it, so that's a bit of a consolation.

If I only get one present this year, I'll be perfectly happy as long as it's this...
Tsuchiya Kyoko Gashu - Soul Driver 2000

The Kyoko Tsuchiya artbook. My Holy Grail. My Ark. And it's out of print.... >_< Of course, Sasuga Books and Amazon both list it (ISBN 4896014502), but Sasuga says it's out of print.

Sigh.

Oh well...it's $71 anyway, but a girl can dream, can't she? Maybe people will go halfsies on it for me ^^;;

Thursday, July 25, 2002, 08:04 a.m.:

Far-off places, strange and distant lands...

Oooooh, what a worldly traveler am I! First Lake Tahoe, then Long Beach, now Oregon! I must write a book chronicling my travels. I will entitle it: "Mediocre Journeys."

(I've just shared with you all the first coherent thought of the day...feel special.)

This blog is coming to you from the home of my beloved and illustrious nakama, Talya Firedancer and Kuwabara no Miko. And if they were here right now to see me writing this, I'd probably be clobbered by the both of them. But they aren't! They're at work! Hah! Hahaha! You can't see what I'm doing!!! *points and jumps up and down*

Aaaaanyway...Last night, Tay showed me the wonders of Vin Diesel. I'd never thought much of him, other than the fact that his big muskles (yes, the "k" is meant to be pronounced) are oddly attractive, in a WWF sort of way. But she sat me down in front of "Pitch Black", and I found it surprisingly enjoyable. He's a surprisingly good actor, and not too shabby when it comes to directing, either. Damn Universal, typecasting their actors...I get the feeling he'd be excellent in a *non*-action role. Oh well. I'll see "Triple-X" anyway.

Not much else is new...the day is young yet, and Utopian Trunks should be arriving here soon! It's gonna be a long, wonderful week. Much ficcage should result from it.
